2020 DeMolay Endowment Foundation Scholarships

Applications are available now for academic scholarships.  Awards totaling $4,000 to $12,000 for part-time and full-time study, covering the 2020-2021 academic year will be announced at the annual Oregon DeMolay Conclave.

Typically individual awards range from $500 to $4,000.  Scholarships are for studies at accredited two or four year institutions.  Priority is for scholarships for full-time study.  Part-time study scholarships can be considered based on credits planned and taken:  3 to 6 credits, up to $500; 9 credits, up to $750.  Applicants can continue to apply each year.

Active and senior DeMolays are eligible to apply through age 25.  Scholarships are awarded based on DeMolay service, financial need, and academic merit after review of an application, transcripts and letters of recommendation.

Note to advisors and parents and friends:  Please make sure that members pursuing education objectives are informed of scholarship opportunities and encourage application and follow-up!

There are additional scholarships available for DeMolays.

  • Annually, the DeMolay Foundation of DeMolay International awards scholarships to Active and Senior DeMolays who excel in academics, DeMolay involvement, community/campus activities and show financial need. To qualify, brothers must submit an application and provide the required documentation.  Application deadline is April 1, 2020.  For information and a link to an application:
  • The Supreme Council, 33°, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, USA (“Supreme Council”) offers the Shepherd Scholarship to individuals to pursue advanced education.  Eligibility is extended to members of Masonic youth organizations.  Shepherd scholarships are currently $2,000 per year for tuition costs for up to four years.  Baccalaureate or graduate degrees in fields associated with service to country and generally perceived as benefiting the human race are eligible.  Application deadline is April 6, 2020.  For information and a link to an application:
  • Some local Oregon Masonic Lodges also offer educational scholarships.  Be sure you check about availability of any programs from your sponsors.
